Laurie Wrye Sullivan Inducted into Worldwide Who’s Who for Excellence in Recruitment
Ms. Sullivan is proud to share her Plexus Slim success story
ANTIOCH, TN, August 20, 2013, Laurie Wrye Sullivan, Emerald Ambassador for Plexus Slim, has been recognized by Worldwide Who’s Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in recruitment.
Ms. Sullivan has 15 years of professional experience, with 4 months as an Emerald Ambassador of Plexus Slim. In the course of her duties, she is responsible for recruiting ambassadors, overseeing and training her team consisting of more than 3,000+ ambassadors, sharing product knowledge, and attending individual and group meetings. Prior to joining Plexus Slim, Sullivan worked as a beauty consultant for Mary Kay, a transcriptionist and Health & Life Coach for Trevo, a regional administrator and internal wholesaler for W.P. Carey & Co, LLC. She has also served as a human resources generalist for GE Healthcare, an executive secretary at American Color, and an administrative assistant of sales at Zortec.
Ms. Sullivan recounts her story as follows: “I was watching television one day, ‘The Doctors,’ to be exact, and [there] just happened to be a show on breast cancer. This was not just an ordinary show, as this was a husband and wife going through breast cancer together. When I saw this, I stopped dead in my tracks and tears started streaming down my face. You see, I had lost my father and grandfather to male breast cancer.”
“I fought with doctors and physicians for years because they didn't know or understand male breast cancer and what it meant for me, so I just kept on going until I found someone who thought like I did.... that is the secret to it all... After the show I found Gina Foret on Facebook talking about a pink drink that helps you lose weight just by drinking it.”
Ms. Sullivan started to take the drink and lost weight without even exercising, and started to make money from it too without telling her family, until she got her first big check, and the rest is history. Ms. Sullivan has been with Plexus Slim for nearly three years. Her experience with and knowledge of the products has made her a fast-growing ambassador within the company. Additionally, she watched “The Secret” and applied the teachings to her business and it provided the change she needed to get her to where she is today in the time she set to be there. For her, the law of attraction really does work! She has a passion for and belief in the products, and wants to help others achieve a healthy balance within their lives. She also trains teams to help them train their own teams.
Ms. Sullivan attributes her success to offering quality products that work well, as well as her passion for the products and desire to help others. She separates herself from her peers because she is a “what you see is what you get” no-frills type of professional. She will let a customer know if a product does not work for her, but also inform the client that it doesn't mean it won't work for them. She will also help someone else grow their own business, but only if they want to, because she will help them, but not pressure them. Ms. Sullivan became involved in her profession because, due to having male family members with breast cancer, she discovered these products and tried a three-day trial package. She wanted to share the health and benefits of the products with others, and decided to become an ambassador for Plexus Slim. There are several highlights of her career, but the one that stood out was when a lady that had bought the products came up to her and gave her a big hug and thanked her for giving her health back. She is now out of a wheelchair and can take walks with her husband and son. Those moments mean more to her than any amount of money. It is about helping people get their health back, which is an awesome achievement! Nothing can beat it, and it brings tears to her eyes every day. She just wishes that Plexus had been around before her father and grandfather died of male breast cancer. She knows in her heart and every inch of her soul that these products could have turned things around for them. But she also truly believes she was put in front of the television that day to see the company and where they were heading.
Ms. Sullivan received a dental assistant certification from Fairchild AFB Dental School. She has also earned a certification in dog grooming and a Six Sigma certification. Ms. Sullivan was the first human resources generalist in the company to achieve Six Sigma status. To benefit others, she contributes to male breast cancer awareness, as well as animal rescue organizations. In her spare time, she enjoys riding horses, traveling, watching movies, and grooming dogs. In years to come, Ms. Sullivan plans to grow the business, travel internationally to build the business, and become financially independent.
